Valerie Joi will once again be one of the vocalists in the All-Star Tribute to the legendary Quincy Jones at the Hollywood Bowl! With honored guest, Mr. Quincy Jones and Christian McBride, Musical Director.

Valerie Joi will be playing keyboards with The Destiny Muhammad Project for the Dimensions Dance Theater “It Takes A Village” Youth Dance Showcase, at the Phillip Reeder Performing Arts Center. She says, “I am absolutely thrilled to play with Destiny and support these young people in dance. It’s awesome!”

Valerie Joi will be speaking as part of a panel on Spirituality and the Resistance, moderated by LeGrand Green, at the New Living Expo in San Mateo, CA.

Valerie Joi will be on keyboards and backing vocals for Tina Meeks & The Connection, celebrating the release of new music by T. Meeks and L. Johnson, at Kulak’s Woodshed in Los Angeles.

An experiential singing workshop exploring the legacy and origin of slave and work songs, and their progression to the Civil Rights era hymns that we sing today. Facilitated by Valerie Joi with pianist Tammy Hall.

Valerie Joi will perform with Sisters in Solidarity, a quartet playing gospel-inflected soulful jazz, to celebrate the work of Mesa Verde Gardens, a community garden project dedicated to "growing justice".
